Media
Reserves and Listening Lab
Media Reserves (including language lab materials) are housed behind the Media
Desk.
A High Point
University ID or Smith Library card is required
to check out all Media Reserves. Please remember,
your borrowing privileges are suspended once
an item becomes overdue and/or if fines are owed.
Loan periods
for reserves are:
Closed: These
reserves are Two Hours In House only. They are
not to be taken from the library. Fines are 25
cents per hour.
1-Day: These reserves may be taken out the library
overnight and returned any time before closing
the next day (see the hours). Fines per day are
$1.00.
There is a
limit of 2 items that can be checked out at one
time.
To locate
reserve items, Media Services will need to know
the following information:
1. Your professor's
name
2. The class number
3. The title
About the
Listening Lab:
Students wishing
to use the Listening Lab to complete coursework
for Modern Foreign Language courses may only
sign in their hours when checking out or returning
a tape.
Students who
forget to sign in may wish to inform their instructor,
as they will not be allowed to sign in once they
have left the Lab.
Any students
who are discovered falsifying their hours in
the Lab or any other coursework will be found
in violation of the University Honor Code.
