Overview of Media Services
Facilities
Located on the first
floor of Smith Library, the Media Services
department includes the following facilities:

Media Library
houses the instructional media and feature films on DVDs
and videos, as well as, CDs of music, speeches, and
sound effects. Media reserves, consisting of foreign
language tapes and other non-print items, are also
located here.

Media Lab
consists of computers, scanners, digital video and
photo editing facilities, viewing and listening
equipment, color printers, and a laminator. The lab
provides resources for patrons to create multimedia materials for instruction
and presentation.

Lecture Rooms
are equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia
computers, LCD projectors, cable television, DVD
players, VCRs, laptop connections, and document
cameras.

Conference Room
has two
conference tables, seating for 10, projection
screen, and whiteboard.

Audio Room
houses LP records and musical scores

rental of instructional media, feature films, and
media reserve collections

Lecture rooms and
conference room scheduling

Equipment checkout,
including digital cameras, camcorders, tripods, tape
recorders and CD-players

Delivery of projection
screens, TV/VCR/DVD carts, and overhead projectors
to classrooms

slide and document scanning with OCR conversion

Audio and video duplication (within copyright
specifications)

Large-size color
printing, dry mounting and laminating

and assistance with the production of
academic-related multimedia materials
