The HPU Libraries' Reference Department is dedicated to providing the best possible reference services to the faculty, staff, and students of High Point University. Reference librarians are available at the reference desk in Smith Library from 8am until midnight and at the University Center Learning Commons 24/7 during the school year. Through our chat and email reference services, you also have access to a reference librarian 24/7 while school is in session.
Library Liaisons
The Library Liaison program is designed to serve HPU's academic departments. Each department has been assigned a reference librarian who serves as their liaison. Faculty members should contact their liaisons to request books and other library materials to support their classes and curriculum. Liaisons are also available to assist with faculty research, including compiling bibliographies and locating books, films, articles, and other resources. If the library does not own an item, we can request to borrow it through Interlibrary Loan from another library.
