Log Into North Carolina (LINC) (North Carolina State Data Center)

While most of the web sites listed here present only the report for the most current year or just a few recent years, the North Carolina Data Center's LINC database provides current, historical and projected (future) data for many different topic areas.  It also includes all state agencies' data instead of your having to go to each agency's site, and you can generate reports for multiple topics, multiple geographies and multiple years.  Consequently, we list it as your best first resource.

North Carolina Periodicals Index

"The North Carolina Periodicals Index seeks to provide access to articles in North Carolina periodicals that are not indexed in standard reference tools, regularly feature useful articles pertaining to the arts, social sciences, and sciences. No attempt has been made, however, to index each title exhaustively. In some cases an issue may not contain an article deemed relevant to undergraduate students' needs. The index does not include reviews of any kind. Coverage for most titles began in January, 1992, although a limited amount of retrospective indexing has been accomplished since that time. An abstract, in some cases simply a sentence that reflects the content of the article, accompanies each entry."
